The Laramie has a swept back cheek and a tear drop loop at the rein, which provides a very forgiving and slower pull. The shanks features give a pre-signal for the horse when they feel the rein slide. This keeps the rider from having to engage as directly. The two-piece twisted wire mouthpiece is a little more aggressive than a smooth mouthpiece, which lends more response and respect from the horse.
