The Full Cheek Gag has two vertical rods on a fixed ring. These straight bars (toggles)provide more side pressure (against the cheek), making steering easier. The ring of theFull Cheek Gag is somewhat smaller than the ring of the normal Full Cheek, resulting inless leverage effect. The upper toggles of the TRUST Full Cheek are slightly curvedoutwards so that they do not get stuck under the noseband. This cheekpiece is mostcommonly used with two reins, one attached to the large ring and the other to the ring ofthe gag cheek. This way, the rider can better dose the gag effect. Please note: Thenormal bridle cheekpiece is replaced by the gag cheek.
A single-jointed mouthpiece hasone joint, which puts lesspressure on the tongue than adouble or multi-jointedmouthpiece. This mouthpiece actsmainly on the layers and sides ofthe tongue. A single-jointedmouthpiece is considered astandard mouthpiece
