Sizing The Medical Boot should have a snug fit and is measured in millimeters between sizes. We recommend measuing in millimeters for precision because incorrect sizing can result in damage to the boot.

This boot is suitable for use in the stall and can be used on sensible horses on limited turnout in small paddock. Guidelines for using the Medical Hoof Boot

• Do not use the Medical Hoof Boot in place of an overreach boot to prevent shoe loss.

Following these guidelines, we would expect the boot to last 2-3 weeks under normal circumstances with many customers finding they last much longer. The boot is not indestructible and is not guaranteed against damage caused by the horse standing on the boot.
